Booked on DUI charges
If you are arrested for driving under the influence, you will be booked and placed in jail or you may have the opportunity to post bail. If you do not post bail, you will remain in custody until your arraignment, usually within 48 hours. If you post bail, you will be free to leave and your arraignment will be scheduled at a future date. Posting bail will give you an opportunity to meet with an attorney prior to the arraignment. At the arraignment you will enter a plea.
